Ahh, yes. Abject quiet. Small children being completely quiet strikes fear in the heart of parents. It is never good to suddenly look at your spouse and say, "I haven't heard Elliot in a while..." and then you both panic and go into full parental search mode, hearts beating fast. And then you discover dog food in the butter compartment and listen to the cute explanation and all is forgotten until the next time.

Leave it to kids to leave a little surprise at every corner to keep things interesting.
