Keith brought home pecans from his grandmother's tree this week, so I made a meat & veggie pie for dinner & a pecan pie for dessert. Yum! Unfortunately, my cleanup gnome seems to be on vacation.
And a fine pecan pie it was! Just the right amount of sweetness and some seriously huge pecans. You have to be messy if you cook and bake well. Never trust a kitchen with a spotless counter I always say. You rock as a baker and as a cook (not to mention artist)!

Why thank you, Rod!
Reading your description of the pecan pie makes me want to bake another one.
I am SO into that. I, of course, would have to test it for, uhmmm, quality assurance purposes. It is a tough job, but I am willing to suffer.
Hmm. The royal poison checker.
